Using Badges to Verify Employer-Ready Skills in a University Honors Program

Illinois State University implemented a digital badge system to officially verify skills and outcomes in their Honors Program. Students earn digital credentials throughout their education, certifying competencies demonstrated inside and outside the classroom, including study abroad programs, research and leadership activities. This session describes the process of building the program.
