IMS Global is helping to shift the edtech paradigm by working with institutions and vendors collaboratively in teams to help develop solutions and solve real world problems. Specifically, over the last year teams of CBE institutions and edtech vendors have analyzed interoperability issues, prototyped solutions, and formed partnerships with supporting organizations to advance CBE interoperability. This session highlights several milestones from this work including a prototype of an extended transcript based on an LTI record of performance service that utilizes linked data. We believe these types of collaborations should become more common across higher education and intentionally used to promote student success. This session focuses on our successes and pitfalls while sharing strategies for connecting such multi-faceted efforts to supportive initiatives that drive more value for all contributors.
